Changes

*Prior to 1789 a Charity School existed in Madras, in connection with St. Mary's Church, which provided for the education and support of a limited number of the orphans of Europeans in India, without reference to the professions of the parents of the orphans. Page 223 of this Google Books [http://books.google.com/books?id=AbYBAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA223 link], published 1855.This institution appears to have amalgamated with the Civil Orphan Asylums in 1872.(Refer below)
