- 1823 became 2nd Btn 31st Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry following 1796 reorganisation when previous 31st became 2nd Btn 4th Regiment
- 1824 2nd Battalion became 62nd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry under Major B Roope
- 1857 mutinied at Multan
