Cutch State Railway was a isolated narrow gauge line built and financed by the Princely State of Kutch, construction of which started in around 1900-01 and first rail from Tuna Port to Anjar started in 1905. Later Anjar to Bhuj rail link was opened in 1908.

The lines were later extended to Naliya to the East from Bhuj and to Bachau and Kandla to the west from Anjar.

The railway, upon independence of India, was merged into the Western Railway Division of Indian Railways in year 1951.
