The Barharwa–Azimganj–Katwa Railway constructed the Barharwa–Azimganj–Katwa loop line in 1913.
This was a branch of the [[East Indian Railway]](EIR) which worked this line. It was a  branch/loop line extension to [[Hooghly-Katwa Railway]] and finally absorbed into the EIR network.
