Summary
In proud memory of George Dodd, C.I.E. Major 27th Punjabis, Political Agent, Wana and Comdt S. Waziristan Militia. Born June 26th, 1872 – Died April 14th 1914 of wounds inflicted by a fanatic. Great in valour and vitality his personal influence and political insight won him a name that ranks high among frontiersmen of renown. In friendship generous, in power just, in responsibility unflinching, as an officer and administrator he was to all races on this border a trusty and well beloved gentleman. This stone is erected by officers and men of the 27th Punjabis and of the northern and southern Waziristan militias.
