However there is another place called Bhongaon on Google Earth and Bhargain on the modern map about 8 miles from Mainpuri which is to the WSW of Fatehgarh.

Comment on Location

The external link to Google Books has Brig Seaton's account of the conflict on 7 April written from camp at Fatehgarh. This describes the rebel forces being near Kumpil. He decided to move across the river to confront the main body near Bangown. He found the enemy at the village of Khankhur where he defeated them remnants making off towards Ala Gunge.
