The '''Mymensingh–Bhairab Bazar''' Railway Company constructed this line between 1912 and opened in stages in 1912-18. The metre gauge([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]) line was worked by the [[Assam Bengal Railway]] (ABR).
