  • 1901 became 28th Punjab Infantry
  • 1903 became 28th Punjabis
  • 1922 became 4th/15th Punjab Regiment
  • 1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition

Second World War

The regiment served in India, including operations in Waziristan, until early September 1943. It then served in Burma, Assam and again Burma until October 1945, when it departed for Siam.[1]
