Chronology

  • 1798 raised as 30th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1857 mutinied at Nusseerabad 28 May

In 1861, after the mutiny, the title was given to the 22nd Regiment of Punjab Infantry which later became the 30th Regiment of Punjab Infantry.
