The Expedition to Tibet in 1903-04, also known as the Anglo-Tibet War.

Summary

In 1835 the land around what was to become Darjeeling was granted to the British as a hill station. Following deteriated relations and the detention of two British subjects, Britain annexed the Sikkim Terai and a large part of Darjeeling District in 1849.
