  • 1885 became 22nd Regiment of Madras Infantry
  • 1901 became 22nd Madras Infantry
  • 1903 became 82th Punjabis
  • 1922 became 5th/1st Punjab Regiment
  • 1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition
