  • 1756 four battalions raised as 62nd (Royal American) Regiment
  • 1757 renamed 60th (Royal American) Regiment of Foot
  • 1797 fifth battalion raised
  • 18?? renamed The Duke of York's Own Rifle Corps
  • 1830 renamed King's Royal Rifle Corps
  • 1958 became 2nd Green Jackets (The King's Royal Rifle Corps)
  • 2007 became 4th Btn Royal Green Jackets
