Broach-Jambusar Railway

The connection of Broach to Jambusar to transport cotton from Jambusar to the Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway(BB&CIR) at Broach was first considered in 1903 by the Baroda Durbar as a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) branch of the Gaekwar's Baroda State Railway but the project was abandoned [1] [2].

The line was finally opened as a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) branch of the BB&CIR network in 1914-15 connecting Broach to Jambusar, a line length of 30 miles(48km) [3].
