Deesa was a cantonment under British control situated in a Princely State in the Palanpur Agency, in Gujarat

"The final intimation regarding the taking of land required for the Deesa Cantonment was received from the Political Agent, Palanpur, on the 4th June 1827, and the general order fixing the limits of the cantonment was issued on the 4th September 1827".[1]
