'''Dost Mohammad Khan (1793-1863)''', was an Afghan tribal leader the founder of the Barakzai Dynasty of Afghanistan and ruled as Emir between 1826 and father of [[Mohammed Akbar]]1842. He was chief of the Barakzai tribe and Amir father of [[Ghazni]] and [[KabulMohammed Akbar]]. In the [[1st Afghan War]] he was deposed by the British and went into exile. He was restored to power after the war. He was chief of the Barakzai tribe and Amir of [[Ghazni]] and [[Kabul]]. His descendants directly ruled the country until 1929.
