The East Coast Rifle Volunteers were an auxiliary regiment based in the north eastern part of the Madras Presidency, the coastal part of what is now Andhra Pradesh. They served under the Madras command.

Chronology

  • 1885 Godavari Rifle Volunteers raised 9th June[1]
  • 1885 Vizagapatam Rifle Volunteers raised 10th October[1]
  • 1890 amalgamated 14th October becoming the East Coast Rifle Volunteers
