This was an event during the 1st Afghan War

Synopsis

Once it was decided that forces should be withdrawn from Afghanistan, General Nott left Kandahar for Kabul and General England took the remainder of the garrison from Kandahar to Sind via Quetta. This was accomplished with little interference from the surrounding tribes.
