The Gauhati Rifles were a volunteer corps based Gauhati (now Guwahati) in Assam.
Chronology
- 1885 raised as Gauhati Rifles on 13th November[1]
- 1891 amalgamated on 6th November with several other corps to become the Assam Valley Mounted Rifles[1]
