The '''Lahore & Peshawar Railway'''was formed between 1870 and 1871 to run from [[Lahore]] to [[Peshawar]]. It was named the [[Punjab Northern State Railway]]'''(PNSR)  It was a temporary line, opened c.1875. With others, the Punjab Northern State Railway was merged with the [[Sind, Punjab and Delhi Railway]] in 1886 to form the '''North-Western State Railway''' (later the [[North Western Railway]]).
Main-line section constructed before 1882 and worked by NWR(qv).
