'''General SirThomas Willshire Bart KCB (1789–1862)''' was a British soldier who went to India in 1822 as a brevet major in the [[38th Regiment of Foot]]. He was made a major in the [[46th Regiment of Foot]]] and took part in the recapture of the fort at Kitoor in 1824. In 1838 with the local rank of brigadier-general he commanded the Bombay brigade of the Army of the Indus for the [[invasion of Afghanistan]]. He was at the [[Storming of Ghazni]] and went on to Kabul. Returning he was in command for the [[Capture of Kalat 1839|Capture of Khelat.
