Born 1878, he worked in India c 1906-1912 for the Indian Civil Veterinary Department investigating camel diseases for the Indian Government , including brief periods at Muktesar Imperial Laboratory, (situated 50km from [[Naini Tal]]). However, most of the time was spent in field work in “the most empty parts” of North West India. He also worked with Silledar Camel Corps.
