The Great Western of India Railway Survey was under survey in 1889 by Horace Bell as Engineer in Chief. This is as recorded in 1890 and 1903. [1] [2]

The 1906 record only makes references to several Bengal and North-Western Railway projects. It is therefore concluded that this project did not proceed. [3]
