Chronology

  • 1763 raised as the 10th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry.
  • 1857 mutinied at Futtehgurh, 18 June.

"In 1861 after the Indian Mutiny the name was taken by the 65th Bengal Native Infantry which later became 10th Regiment of Jat Infantry".
