  • 1817 formed as 1st Battalion 10th Regiment of Bombay Native Infantry
  • 1824 became 19th Regiment of Bombay Native Infantry
  • 1885 became 19th Regiment of Bombay Infantry
  • 1901 became 19th Bombay Infantry
  • 1903 became 119th Infantry (The Mooltan Regiment)
  • 1922 became 2nd (Mooltan Battalion) 9th Jat Regiment
  • 1947 allocated to India on Partition
