  • 1835 Shekhawati Brigade raised by the British under the command of Henry Forster and funded by the Maharajas of Jaipur and Bikaner to control dacoits
  • 1847 became the Shekhawati Battalion
  • 1861 became 13th Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1884 became 13th (Shekhawati Regiment) Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1903 became 13th Rajputs (The Shekhawati Regiment)
  • 1922 became 10th Shekhawati Battalion, 6th Rajputana Rifles
  • 1947 allocated to India on Partition
