Chronology

In the Indian Mutiny the 32nd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry did not rebel and, in the ensuing disbandment of Bengal Army regiments, the 32nd became the third most senior.

• 1861 became the 3rd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
• 1885 became the 3rd Regiment of Bengal Infantry
• 1901 became the 3rd Brahman Infantry
• 1903 became the 3rd Brahmans
• 1922 disbanded
