List of inscriptions on Christian tombs and tablets of historical interest in the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh (1911 by Sir E A H Blunt ICS (archive.org) gives the epitaph of Lt C W Havelock 1834-1858 on page 194 This young man, nephew of Sir Henry Havelock, "was killed in action at Tighra with Sir E Lugard’s force, whilst gallantly leading his men of the 12th irregular cavalry in a charge against the rebels" A note explains that he "perished in a small affair against Ghulam Husain and Mehdi Hasan in Jaunpur"

Further information regarding the troops present can be found in Hart’s New Army List 1863 (books.google.com) This mentions on page 88 that Colonel Riddell “commanded the Artillery of Lugard’s Column at the affair of Tigree “ and also on page 79 that Lt Colonel Michell commanded the Royal Horse Artillery at that same battle.
