Central Provinces Railway Co Ltd

A British owned company operating a group of narrow gauge lines; all worked by Great Indian Peninsular Railway (GIPR), under Government of India (GOI) management from 1925.

The group of lines comprising:-

Achalpur(Ellichpur)-Murtajapur-Yavatmal Railway Owned by Central Provinces Railway Co(qv); known informally as 'Shakuntala Railway'

Murtajapur-Ellichpur Railway; see above - part of Achalpur-Murtajapur-Yavatmal Railway; opened 1913-14

Murtajapur-Yavatmal Railway; see above - part of Achalpur-Murtajapur-Yavatmal Railway; opened 1913-14

Dhond-Baramati Railway; opened 1914-15

Pulgaon-Arvi Railway; opened 1917-18

Pachora-Jamner Light Railway; opened 1919

Darwha-Pusad Railway; opened 1931
