My above uncle served with both Dunsterforce and Norperforce and there was little in print about the latter hence my notes, and of course, armoured cars were very much involved with these ‘Hush Hush’ ops."

Notes:

• The town of Cachy was involved in a famous tank battle outside Villers Bretonneux, 24 April 1918, described in this Great War Forum post
• The Armoured Car very likely belonged to one of the Armoured Car Companies of the Royal Tank Corps. Possibilities include the 6th Armoured Car Company which was based at Peshawar c 1933 and took part in the Mohmand operations in 1933, or even the 8th Armoured Car Company which had an Armoured Car called Crecy
