'Hansara Tea Tramway System' in the Tinsukia District of Assam at Hansara is the name we have selected that is identified from the maps of the area [1] which provides the following information:-

The tramway system, with a length of about 8 miles(13km), of unknown gauge, ran from the Dibru-Sadiya Railway station at Hansara and had two branches:-

  • Branch 1
    • 'Raidang Tea Garden', owner 'Unknown'
  • Branch 2
    • 'Samdang Tea Garden', owner 'Unknown'
    • 'Mesai Tea Garden', owner 'Unknown'

The owner(s) of these three tea gardens we have described as 'Unknown 3 in the Table '

Note: Raidang and Samdang are still in existence (2019) while Mesai has been taken over by one or the other.
