Kurung Tank Construction Railway

The 'Kurung Tank' is an artificial irrigation resevoir [1] in Karung District, 15 miles(24km) north of Bilaspur, Chattisgarh [2].

The Tank was constructed from 1919 by the Central Provinces Public Works Department and the records show that three 2ft/610mm narrow gauge(NG) locomotives dating from 1918 were operating in the construction, the extent of ther track is unknown [2].
