1st Raising
- 1778 raised as 37th Battalion
- 1781 became 30th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1784 became 33rd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1785 disbanded
2nd Raising
- 1795 raised from extra companies of the old corps as 37th Battalion
- 1796 absorbed by the 4th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1824 1st Battalion became 7th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry under Major S P Bishop; 2nd Battalion became 23rd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry under Major W W Davis
