The 'Balrampur Sugar Factory' at Balrampur in Gonda District, United Provinces opened in 1933-34 by the 'British Indian Corporation' Begg, Sutherland & Co were the Managing Agent [1].
The records show that the factory was connected to the metre gauge(MG) mainline by a siding[1] .
