Gauri Bazar Sugar Factory Railway
A Sugar Factory at Gauri Bazar, Deoria District, owned by Cawnpore Sugar Works Ltd opened in 1919-20; Begg Sutherland and Company were the Managing Agents [1].
An agreement had been signed in 1917 betweeen Cawnpore Sugar Works Ltd and Bengal and North-Western Railway(B&NWR) for the working of a siding from the Gauri Bazar station to the sugar factory. In the early 1930's there was a two and a half mile(4km)line from the factory to the Majhana River.
No further information has been found.
