How to add information to the FIBIWiki

Have a play and try adding some content. It's really easy, all you do is click on the edit tab at the top of the page you want to edit, or click on one of the links which is coloured purple on any of the pages - which means that page doesn't exist yet. Then just type what you want to appear on the web page.

There is some specialist syntax for formatting the text, for example to create a 3rd level heading called

Regiments

you simply write ===Regiments===.

To create a link to another page you just surround the word with [[ ]]. For example to link to the Occupations page you type [[Occupations]].

To create a bulleted list just precede every item by an asterisk. For example type:

*first
*second
*third

and it will appear on the web page as:

  • first
  • second
  • third

See, I told you it was easy.

A short crib sheet for formatting text or putting in links etc. is at Help:Editing

So that you can keep track of your own changes and have more control generally, anyone can create their own account, click on create account above. Conversely we can lock certain pages so that only we can edit them.

Have a think about what you are putting onto the FIBIWiki for instance so it doesn't duplicate information in Wikipedia or in the FIBIS search site. See our policy for details.
