One of the British [[Presidencies]] in India, the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidency_of_Agra '''Presidency of Agra''' ] was an administrative area borne out of the [[Ceded and Conquered Provinces]]. An idea that was never fully realised, the Presidency existed only from the 14th November 1834 to the 1st June 1836 whereafter it was renamed the [[North-Western Provinces]]. The capital was the city of [[Agra]].
