Changes

Hubert SC Waters, standing at far left, was a civil engineer who was sent to assist a group of British sappers & miners build a railway to the Persian border about 1918. He spoke frequently about times he spent in Ahmedwal & Zahidan which are in the vicinity of the Nushki Extension Railway.For his service on the railways, on the North West Frontier 1918-1919, he was awarded the Afghan War Medal. 'Frogsmile' provided some comments on this Great War Forum [http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191155&#entry1869244 thread]
