== Synopsis ==
Captain Woodburn and 130 men were travelling from [[Kandahar]] to [[Kabul]] when, after passing [[Ghazni]], they were attacked by "swarms" of tribesmen. They took refuge in a small fort at Syadabad but were betrayed and massacred. Only two sepoys lived to carry the tale to Ghazni.
