Formerly The section from [[Santahar]] to [[Bonapara]], a distance of 51 miles(82km) opened in 1899-1900 and originally part of the [[Brahmaputra-Sultanpur Railway]], amalgamated with being worked by [[Eastern Bengal Railway]](EBR(qv).
