The '''Delhi-Samasatta Railway''' was opened in 1897 by the [[Southern Punjab Railway]] Company(SPR) connecting [[Delhi]] with [[Samasatta]] via [[Bhatinda]].

The line passed through [[Muktasar]] and [[Fazilka]] and provided direct connection through [[Samasatta]] (now in Pakistan) to [[Karachi]].
The [[Macleodganj Railway]] extension from [[Macleodganj]] (later renamed Mandi Sadiqganj and now in Pakistan) to [[Ludhiana]] was opened by the SPR in 1905.
