The '''Loi Shilman Railway''' was a proposal to construct a military narrow gauge([[Rail_gauge#Narrow_Gauge|NG]])
NG railway extending into [[Afghanistan]] as far as the Shilman Ghakki pass. It was one of two proposals: - the other being the Kabul River Railway, a proposal following the narrow Kabul River gorge to Smatsai, below the fort at Dakka.
