A valuable resource on all things sea-faring is the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. Please visit their pages on Collections & Research and the Caird Library for more information. The collections cover every aspect of maritime history, the Royal and Merchant Navy, emigration, navigation, piracy, shipwrecks, biography, astronomy and horology.
