Changes

The Khyber Rifles was an armed police or para-military unit, rather than a "regiment" in the Indian Army. "Other ranks" were locally recruited, with officers seconded from the Indian Army which had no control over them as they were paid for from the civil purse.<ref>Evers, Maureen.
