Chronology
- 1778 raised as 22nd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1857 mutinied at Fyzabad 8 June
In 1861, after the mutiny, the title was given to the Alipore Regiment and then changed to 18th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry. This later became the 18th Musulman Rajput Infantry.
