  • 1767 became The Amboor Battalion
  • 1769 became the 11th Carnatic Battalion
  • 1770 became the 10th Carnatic Battalion
  • 1784 became the 10th Madras Battalion
  • 1796 became 1st Battalion, 10th Madras Native Infantry
  • 1824 became the 10th Regiment of Madras Native Infantry
  • 1885 became the 10th Regiment of Madras Infantry
  • 1890 officially disbanded but in reality amalgamated with The Kubo Military Police Battalion to form 1st Regiment of Burma Infantry
