:This image was posted on FIBIS on Facebook  on 9 May 2013 and Harshawardhan Bosham Nimkhedkar wrote "... a news report dated today from a Marathi daily Maharashtra Times which says that  the Betul-Etarsi (Itarsi) section of the Nagpur-Itarsi railway line joining the Bombay - Delhi main line at Itarsi will complete 100 years of its life on this 13th May. Formerly a part of the [[Great Indian Peninsula Railway|GIP Railway]], now this line belongs to the Nagpur Division of the Central Railways and helps connect Delhi with Madras (Chennai) via Nagpur. The 108 kms-long Betul-Itarsi track passes through a difficult hilly terrain of the Satpuda Mountain Ranges amidst lush green jungle. There are 300 bridges and nine tunnels en route. Due to full electrification of the track, trains now require just about 1.45 hours to reach from Betul to Itarsi (uphill) while steam locos used to cover this distance in more than three hours before 1970".
