- 1843 raised in Karachi by Lt Robert FitzGerald as Scinde Camel Corps
- 1851 retitled as the Scinde Rifle Corps, Punjab Irregular Force
- 1865 became 6th Punjab Infantry Regiment
- 1903 became 59th Scinde Rifles (Frontier Force)
- 1921 became 59th Royal Scinde Rifles (Frontier Force)
- 1922 became 6th Battalion 13th Frontier Force Rifles
- 1945 became 1st Battalion The Frontier Force Rifles
- 1947 allocated to Pakistan on partition
- 1957 became 1st battalion Frontier Force Regiment

Waziristan 1937
During 1937 the regiment took part in operations against the Mahsud in Waziristan[2]
