The '''Vijapur-Kalol-Kadi Railway''' was a metre gauge([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]) line completed in 1903 with a an opening length of 41 miles(65km). The MG line of 41 miles(65km) from [[Vijapur]] to [[Kolol]], opened 1902 and reached [[Kadi ]] in 1903. A 5 mile(8km) extension opened in 1912 from [[Kadi]] to Bhoyani Road <ref name=Admin/>.
A further 21 miles extension mile(34km) ‘Bechraji Extension Railway’ from Bhoyani Road to [[Bechraji]] was sanctioned in 1916 <ref>“Railways in India – GOI Administrative Report 1916-17 / Native States Lines” page 17</ref> <ref name=Admin/> and completed at sometime before 1921 to complete the connection to the metre gauge [[Gaekwar's Mehsana Railway]]’(GMR) at [[Bechraji]].
This gave a total route mileage of 67 miles(108km) In 1921 the working of this line, together with the GMR, passed from the BB&CIR to the [[Gaekwar's Baroda State Railway]](GBSR)
