See The Imperial Gazetteer Volume 22 Page 158 states the town "is connected with the [[Rajputana-Malwa State Railway]] at Daosa station by a road running via Lalsot, and other pageswill be the terminus of the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur branch now under construction", this being an extension to the [[Jaipur State Railway]] and opened in 1907.
