  • 1777 became the 30th Battalion, Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1784 became the 29th Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1786 became the 23rd Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1796 became the 2nd Battalion, 9th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1824 became the 21st Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1861 became the 1st Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1901 became the 1st Brahman Infantry
  • 1903 became the 1st Brahmans
  • 1922 united with 62nd Punjabis, 66th Punjabis, 76th Punjabis, 82nd Punjabis, and 84th Punjabis and became 4th/1st Punjab Regiment
  • 1931 disbanded
